Grants, A Taste of Excellence...

Grants is a much loved, popular restaurant in Omagh, located in Georges Street that I have absolutely adored since I was young. It is the definition of class and is a very popular spot within Omagh. As I walked in, I was greeted with the warmth within the place while also being greeted by a lovely waitress named Vikki. While our table was being prepared, she kindly seated us in the lounge area and presented the drinks menu. After browsing the selection, I chose the house red wine, Tank 32 Primitivo, a rich, velvety red that paired perfectly with my main course. Despite not being a regular red wine drinker, I was pleasantly surprised by its bold yet smooth flavor. The wine elevated the entire experience, adding a touch of elegance to the evening. Following this, we were seated in the front area, and were then presented with our food menus. For starters I had ordered the chicken wings, which were 10/10 and they delivered a mouthwatering burst of flavour in every bite I gen...

Number 19, The perfect brunch spot!

Number 19 is a very loved local cafe, located at 19 High Street at the heart of Omagh.

It is well known for its very cost atmosphere and friendly service and the menu offers lovely options whether it is breakfast, lunch or just a coffee.

On Black Friday, after a busy day of shopping, me and my friend had decided to unwind at the cafe bistro for a bite to eat. We sat down at the window which had a view of the high street and surprisingly, it wasn't very busy so it was a good escape from the hustle outside.

A friendly waitress brought menus down and we were very impressed about the range of options available. It offered everything from a hearty breakfast to lighter, gluten free options. The variety amongst the gluten free section was very impressive and caters to many different needs.

I had ordered a caramel cappuccino to drink and this was genuinely one of the best coffees I have had in the town. It was the perfect caramel and coffee ratio and I really, really enjoyed it. For food, I had ordered the French toast with bacon and maple syrup, which I just couldn't resist. The French toast had been everything I had hoped for. 2 thick slices of toast topped with crispy bacon and a separate generous serving of maple syrup which paired gorgeously with my coffee. My friend opted for a panini and it was as equally impressive.

Upon leaving, we had went up to pay and found out it was cash only! There was a minute of panic before I realised I had cash in my pocket, but it would have been good to have known about this upon paying in case we weren't so lucky. But I will know again for the next time I'm visiting.

The experience at this cafe was lovely and was the perfect way to slow down during the hectic day. For anyone visiting Omagh during the holiday season, Number 19 is definitely worth your visit for a cosy and peaceful lunch.
