Grants, A Taste of Excellence...

 Grants is a much loved, popular restaurant in Omagh, located in Georges Street that I have absolutely adored since I was young. It is the definition of class and is a very popular spot within Omagh.

As I walked in, I was greeted with the warmth within the place while also being greeted by a lovely waitress named Vikki. While our table was being prepared, she kindly seated us in the lounge area and presented the drinks menu.

After browsing the selection, I chose the house red wine, Tank 32 Primitivo, a rich, velvety red that paired perfectly with my main course. Despite not being a regular red wine drinker, I was pleasantly surprised by its bold yet smooth flavor. The wine elevated the entire experience, adding a touch of elegance to the evening.

Following this, we were seated in the front area, and were then presented with our food menus. For starters I had ordered the chicken wings, which were 10/10 and they delivered a mouthwatering burst of flavour in every bite I genuinely am still thinking about them and can't wait to get them again over the Christmas season. They were seasoned perfectly and were full of flavour and would undoubtably be my favourite dish from here, (although I still think of the brie they served as a starter when I was younger). Whether you're looking for a classic comfort food or a flavourful beginning to your meal, the chicken wings at Grants are consistently praised for their quality and deliciousness​.

The star of the show, The Boston Beef. I had this for my main and let me tell you, I will, again be getting this as my main when I am next back. I had ordered my steak medium well and it was cooked to perfection. Both the tenderness and juiciness were phenomenal while paired with the gorgeous mash and the combination of not only peppered sauce but also with their red wine gravy. Together, these elements formed a harmonious, mouthwatering experience that I can’t recommend enough. If you’re a steak lover or simply someone seeking an unforgettable main course, the Boston Beef at Grants is an absolute must-try. 

Lastly, with not much room left in my stomach, my friend and I decided to opt for a desert. We had went for the meringue and it was the finishing touch. It had lovely fresh fruit paired with cream and was just delectable. 

Overall, Grants is a 10/10 experience considering the food and the service both were top notch. I would most definitely recommend this amazing place to anyone going for a date night, events, or just for a Saturday night treat.
